Cheese on the Green, Bilton, Rugby
I found this little shop a when I last visited friends in Rugby and a trip to the shop whenever I visit my friends is a must. It really is a specialist cheese shop with lots farm blends of popular cheeses, a wide range of different crackers, chutney’s and relishes. The owners, Richard and Sue Cooper will make you very welcome; Richard was Provisions buyer at Fortnum & Mason (the Queen’s grocer!) and latterly manager of Paxton & Whitfield’s specialist cheese shop in London’s West End. Click on the shop name (above) to visit and, perhaps, order a cheese or two. I can heartily recommend the featured cheese, Lincolnshire Poacher - superb after taste!

I made a visit to Menai Bridge Farmers Market last weekend and had an enjoyable hour talking and sampling food and making a few images. Enjoy… and I take no responsibility for any pangs of hunger!

The Fruit Bowl as Art
I’m experimenting with still life so this fits very nicely into Jeannie’s project. My kitchen, my fruit bowl, contents - part of my five-a-day!

Le Cuisine a la maison d’Antoine
Breakfast: fresh white bread, jam or marmalade from my lovely friend, Stella, who makes all her own jam, and freshly poured apple juice
Elevenses: Grumpy Mule coffee with hot frothy milk and two sweet digestive biscuits
Supper: my own recipe Italian-style cottage pie topped with cheesy mash and baked until crisp
