Just how lucky can a photographer be? Well, in this case, very! I’m currently in Wales because of a family illness so photography is, sadly, pretty low on my radar just now & I’ve only a 3G Internet connection via my iPhone anyway.
I got half-an-hour on Sunday morning to take a few pictures & drove to Gallows Point near Beaumaris, a favourite spot overlooking the Carnedd mountains of Snowdonia. I was blessed with some quite lovely light, a yacht sailing south along the Menai Straits, three kayakers paddling north, low-lying clouds on the mountains &, finally, a large flock of oystercatchers flying at wave height. My trusty X10 was quickly put to use & I think I got two or three decent shots. Within five minutes everything had changed & the moment was lost.
I’m hopeful of finding some time to process the images during the week, which, all being well, I’ll post.
